Molecular Spectroscopy provides information about the molecular structure of a sample. Spectro Chem's molecular spectroscopy capabilities include a wide variety of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) techniques used in conjunction with x-ray fluorescence.
FOURIER TRANSFORM INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY (FTIR):
FTIR is a technique in which infrared energy, absorbed by the vibrations of a chemical bond, is analyzed to allow simple identification of functional groups such as alcohols, esters, ketones, and aromatic rings. Three FTIR systems allow Spectro Chem, Inc. the flexibility to meet its customer's needs.
- Materials identification and characterization;
- Identification of unknown liquids, solids, and gases;
- Process quality control;
- Chemical reaction or process monitoring;
- Comparison of oils or liquids to determine differences.
